(QUEEN CITY NEWS) – We are seeing a foggy start to the day with some areas of freezing fog reported! An advisory dense fog is in effect for the North Carolina foothills and the Queen City until 9 a.m.
Morning fog transitions to low-level cloud cover as temperatures hover in the low to mid-30s.
High pressure will take control as dry air funnels in from the north help clear the fog and cloud cover this morning. Tuesday will end up being nice with highs peaking in the mid 50s under lots of sunshine.
Fair skies will stick around overnight allowing lows to drop to near 30 degrees at night. We’ll bounce back to near 60 on Wednesday as this week’s warm-up continues.
Conditions will remain mild and dry mid-week with sunshine providing a healthy dose of vitamin D. Saturday starts off a gorgeous weekend with highs in the mid 60s under cloudy skies.
Sunday will be limited to the low 50s as the Carolinas rain weather returns. Our next chance of rain arrives Sunday evening in much cooler conditions ushering in Monday to start next week.
Today: Foggy Start but Finish Sunny. Top of 55.
Tonight: Clear and cold. Low 30.
