Isaac Malone – Wadena Pioneer Journal

Funeral services were held for Isaac Malone, 25, of Wadena, Minnesota on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Karvonen Funeral Home in Wadena with Pastor Jeff Heisler officiating. The pallbearers were: Kodi Dosdall, Jacob Schauer, Aaron Ellingworth, Stephen Holecek, Nathanael Holecek, Damon Tumberg and Cole Tumberg. The honorary bearers were all of Isaac’s nephews and nieces. Isaac was buried in Wadena City Cemetery, Wadena, Minnesota.

Isaac Joseph Malone was born on December 12, 1996 in North Carolina. Isaac was welcomed into the Malone family by Ron and Eileen and two older sisters Michelle and Gina on January 31, 1997. He was later blessed with two younger sisters, Lacey and Mikaela.

Isaac gave his life to the Lord at a very young age and was very active in his youth group. He enjoyed many family vacations throughout his youth, including trips to Florida, Canada, and later a father-son fishing trip to Alaska. He thrived on ‘learning’ alongside his father from the age of 4, which led to co-ownership of Malone Construction with his father. Isaac graduated from Wadena-Deer Creek in 2015, continuing his education at Alexandria Technical College in building construction.

On October 19, 2019, Isaac and his wife Ariel (Sakry) Malone got married. They had a son Kase (3) and a daughter Thea (1). Their children were the joy of their lives. Isaac, along with his father and friends, built a home for his family in rural Wadena, Minnesota. They enjoyed many family gatherings and spent precious time with their parents, grandparents, siblings, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

At a young age, Isaac got into the business of trapping gophers. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his father and friends hunting deer and ducks. He enjoyed playing football and wrestling in high school, outdoor sports like snowmobiling and 4-wheeling, and fishing (as a young boy, the best thing about fishing was spending time with his father and the treats he was carrying)!

Isaac was taken from this life in a tragic death on April 29, 2022. He will be remembered for his bright and kind smile, good sense of humor, strong work ethic and above all his love for his family. Isaac was predeceased by his wife Ariel, his grandparents Maurice and Barbara Malone, Bernard and Dolores Holecek and his aunt Judy Malone.

His loving family mourning his death includes his parents, Ron and Eileen Malone, his sisters, Michelle (Jeremy) Neuerburg of New York Mills, Gina (Robert) Segovia of Wadena, Lacey Malone, Battle Lake and Mikaela Malone of Wadena, nieces well- loved ones and nephews, several aunts, uncles, cousins, several other relatives and friends.

“We are grateful to the Lord for the blessing Isaac has been to our family, and grateful to Jackie for allowing him to be a part of our lives and our family.” Ron and Eileen.
