The nation’s time | The sun on the north side

The national weather forecast for Monday, May 9, 2022

A storm will bring widespread rain and thunder to

north of the Midwest tomorrow. A few thunderstorms in the afternoon

the hours could become strong or even severe, and bring

destructive wind, hail and even isolated tornadoes. Storm

system that brought wet weather to the mid-Atlantic will be

largely offshore, however, persistent showers are expected

stay across the mid-Atlantic coast. Meanwhile, a weak

storm in the northwest will bring rain and snow showers to

the North-west. However, the snow should remain confined

at higher altitudes. Isolated thunderstorms at the end of the day can also

drive through parts of central Texas, causing isolated damage

torrential winds and rains in these regions. The rest of the

the country is expected to remain dry as any storm does little

to break the heat of the building in the south-central region.
