HIGH POINT, NC (WGHP) – The City of High Point has released an interactive snowplow map that shows where crews are prioritizing after the winter storm over the weekend.
The hospital and downtown are at the center of the map and receive the most attention.
Priority one, two and three snow roads are around the hospital and downtown.
After riding through Sunday’s winter storm, the FOX8 Max weather team is looking ahead to this coming weekend where we could see a second round.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday should see highs in the 40s, above zero, but that could start to change Thursday evening.
“Late in the day on our Thursday, there’s a chance some of that cold air could catch up with that humidity,” Ewing said. “It could end with some snow, but it looks like the focus will mainly shift towards Friday when maybe a bit of extra humidity will invade our cold air.”
Ewing said it was too early to talk about amounts, but, as of Tuesday morning, current forecasts show a possibility of moderate impacts in eastern parts of North Carolina with “some” impacts in the Triad and West.
Any wintry weather we see should move up the East Coast by Saturday.
“As we get closer and closer to our Friday, we’ll be refining those forecasts and fixing some numbers, but it looks like the models are starting to trend towards something happening our Friday, so keep that in mind,” Ewing mentioned.
