WEATHER ALERT: Snowfall expected today in Clarksville



CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – We could see slippery roads today with up to an inch of snow and sleet buildup.

Montgomery and surrounding counties are subject to a winter weather advisory from 3 p.m. today until 3 a.m. Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

“Expect slippery roads and travel impacts in many areas on Monday morning,” the advisory said.

Light sleet was falling in parts of Clarksville at 11:30 a.m.

Tonight: Rather cloudy. 50 percent chance of light snow in the evening. Snow accumulation up to 1 inch. Total snowfall up to 2 inches. Troughs in the mid-20s. Winds northerly 10 to 15 mph.

Monday: Partly cloudy in the morning then clearing. Peaks in the upper 30s. North winds up to 10 mph.

Monday evening: Clear. Lowest in the lower 20s. Winds east up to 5 mph moving southeast after midnight.

Tuesday: Sunny. High around 50. Winds southerly up to 10 mph increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

Thusday: Cloudy with 40 percent chance of light snow. Highs in the lower 30s.

thursday evening: Mainly cloudy in the evening then becoming partly cloudy. Minimum around 12.

Friday: Partly cloudy. Peaks in the upper 20s.

Friday evening and Saturday: Not so cool. Usually clear. The minimums around 18. The maximums in the upper 40s.
